Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia Sign Revenue Sharing and FFP Agreements.

Two International Airlines, Garuda Indonesia (GA) and Singapore Airlines (SIA), signed an agreement to offer some benefits for their frequent flyer program members. Also, they let passengers explore revenue-sharing arrangements for flights between Indonesia and Singapore, subject to regulatory approval.

Members of KrisFlyer and GarudaMiles will be able to earn and use miles on codeshare flights operated by both airlines once the frequent flyer partnership is put into effect.

An important step toward a proposed commercial joint venture arrangement that would cover Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines’ flights between Singapore and Indonesia is the revenue sharing agreement, which will support joint capacity growth.

Both airlines won’t stop their joint marketing partnership to advance tourism, which will include journalists and members of the travel trade with one another’s offerings.

Irfan Setiaputra, Garuda Indonesia’s President and CEO, stated, “Having the same mission in optimizing the potential of the aviation business ecosystem in South East Asia after the pandemic, this effort is definitely a major example of both airlines’ commitment to maintaining our well-established partnership.”

“We are very excited about this partnership, which marks Garuda Indonesia’s 58-year history of connecting Singapore and Indonesia. Irfan Setiaputra, President and CEO of Garuda Indonesia, stated, “We hope that this partnership will continue to enhance social,

cultural, and tourism relations between Indonesia and Singapore while offering seamless access for customers to enjoy various destinations served by both airlines.” Furthermore, it is expected that this partnership will not only benefit the customers of both airlines,

in terms of how simple it is to earn and use miles for tickets and other special advantages, but it will also strengthen Garuda Indonesia’s support of domestic travel by giving foreign visitors who will be traveling through Singapore additional access to Indonesian destinations.”

These days, Garuda Indonesia codeshares on long-haul flights operated by Singapore Airlines between Singapore and Johannesburg, London (Heathrow), Mumbai, and the Indonesian cities of Bali, Jakarta, Medan, and Surabaya.

This will support the expansion of tourism and economic activity in addition to meeting the growing demand for air travel between the two nations and beyond.

Additionally, we can improve the benefits for our customers by strengthening the synergies between our frequent flyer programs and giving them more chances to earn and redeem miles when flying with both airlines. “
